BLOOMON - Anton Van Duijn
Bloomon’s expert florist Anton Van Duijn showed visitors how to recreate Bloomon’s trademark style. They created a stunning bouquet, stem-by-stem, to take home whilst learning about all the season’s trends!
LOUIS ROEDERER CHAMPAGNE TASTING - Mark Bingley, Master of Wine
During the workshop vistors tasted Louis Roederer’s Champagnes specially blended from some of Roederer’s best vineyards. Informative and entertaining, visitors were expertly guided them through the complexities and pleasures of Champagne.
SAKE NO HANA - Hideki Hiwatashi, Head Chef
Hutong's head chef talked through a simple and delicious seafood recipe, perfect for summer entertaining. Kung Po is an authentic style from Sichuan which Hutong specialises in, and making this dish with scallops is an elegant way to make it more special.
HUTONG AT THE SHARD - Bing Luo, Head Chef
Tastes of Japan was an unusual and inspirational taste experience where visitors learnt about both a sensory original cocktail and taste accompanying seafood. Hideki demonstrated how to create a classic Sakura bento box with sushi and sashimi.
PONT DE LA TOUR - Frederick Foster, Head Chef
Frederick Forster of the iconic Le Pont de la Tour restaurant, demonstrated some simple seasonal dishes adapted from his menu. Along the way, he' shared his foolproof tips for selecting, preparing and serving your seafood in the summer.
Other works shops included Gin Master Classes in which visitors learnt about the history of gin, juniper and botanicals, how to taste gin, the role of garnishes and more and Chocolate Tastings which included how to taste chocolate properly to be sure to enjoy all the flavours!
