15:00 - 15:45 Creating Gardens in a Small Space

Creating Gardens in a Small Space

Small gardens are often the most challenging to design, and the hardest to make work.  We value the space even more when it is limited, especially in the pressurised environments of town and cities. We need it to work practically; somewhere to sit outside in but also somewhere to store the BBQ, wheelie bin and garden tools. And small spaces are totally unforgiving when it comes to detail - every mistakenly placed plant or badly laid paving slab is visible.  In this talk Matthew Wilson will share some of the design tips and tricks he has used in the making of dozens of small city gardens, to help make the most of that invaluable outdoor space, regardless of the size.
