Kate studied Theatre Design and began her career working with Architects in the emerging Docklands in the 1980’s, designing a Restaurant in Wapping Lane and the Marine Club in the City. In the 1990’s she also worked as a Production Designer for Film and TV companies, including the BBC, TVS and Jim Henson. She later returned to Architecture and Interior Design studying at Central St Martins and gaining skills in technical drafting CAD programmes. In 2006 Kate co-founded Hub Architects and Designers. Under Kate’s direction, HUB deliver a full Interior design service from early concept to a fully furnished scheme. She ensures that the Interior design opportunities are considered and maintained throughout the Architectural process. Kate is very experienced in dealing with listed buildings as well as new build developments. Within the last year, Kate has lead projects of varying scales from the decoration of a child’s bedroom to the major refurbishment of several Central London listed houses and a small Public Library. She has also worked with leading property developers on new build schemes in and around London and the West Midlands.
