Interior Designer Talk Series With Rabih Hage in Conversation with David Nicholls, House & Garden

Rabih Hage is an award-winning RIBA chartered architect and interior designer who divides his time between London, New York and the South of France.

Rabih designs on a human scale, from the inside out, taking inspiration from his clients and their personalities to create deceptively effortless spaces that are suffused with warmth, a subtle wit, and an exquisite feeling for volume, structure, light and colour. He sees little distinction between his practice as an architect and as an interior designer and his works blend poetry with pragmatism seamlessly.

11:30 - 12:15 Introduction to Colour and Style with Red Leopard

Introduction to Colour and Style with Red Leopard

It is remarkable how different colours affect our complexion and how transformative they can be when used correctly. What you put directly around your face will change your skin’s appearance; wearing the wrong colour can make you look like you lack energy and confidence, while the opposite can make you look healthy, capable, credible and radiant.

Come and see a demonstration as to how we use our unique system based upon Johannes Itten’s ‘principles of colour’, established at the Bauhaus in the 1920’s, to systematically compare and contrast a range of colours and their effect on your skin. See for yourself the remarkable difference that various colours make to a complexion.

It’s no secret that appearance is a very powerful tool and one over which you have total control. Your clothes are an essential part of presenting the very best version of yourself. Everything that you put on your body should bear some resemblance to your face shape, your body shape, your colouring, and should reflect your personality.

Impressionists in their Gardens - Living Light & Colour with Caroline Holmes, The Arts Society

This lecture explores gardens through the senses of the Impressionists from three continents – Europe, North America and Australia - enjoying the essentially similar pleasures of the garden, but engaging with the light from their skies in order to create very different sensations. The enclosure of the garden acts like a living picture frame illustrating how and what they grew, giving us a guide to their individuality and that of their family, friends and, in the simple words of the greatest Impressionist and gardener Monet, providing motifs to paint.

This talk is supported by The Arts Society -  A leading arts education charity with a global network of 385 local Societies, which bring people together through a shared curiosity for the arts.
